Transportation
There are numerous options to get from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to the hotel.
Notes about RDU
- Terminal 1 services Southwest Airlines
- Terminal 2 services Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Jet Blue, United, & smaller airlines
Taxi
- Locating a Taxi at RDU
- Taxi dispatchers are located outside the terminals at RDU. The Terminal 1 Taxi Dispatch Booth is located outside Bag Claim 3. At Terminal 2, the booth is located on the lower level outside Bag Claim 1.
- You can also schedule a taxi pick-up or make a reservation by contacting RDU Taxi, Inc. at (919) 840-7277. Handicap-accessible vehicles are available upon request.
- Estimation of taxi fee to hotel is $31.
Uber / Lyft
- Uber and Lyft service RDU.
- To access Uber or Lyft, simply download the Uber app or Lyft app from the App Store on iOS or the Play Store on Android.
- Create an account if necessary (you will need to provide your credit card information).
- Once you request a ride in the app, it will direct you on where to go to get picked up.
- Estimation of Uber or Lyft fee to hotel is $20.
- Note: this fee is dependent on the demand which is affected by the time of the day you arrive.
Shuttle
- There is no shuttle service from the airport to the DoubleTree on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.
Rental Cars
- If you are interested in obtaining a rental car, many services are available and information is available on the RDU site.
Directions from RDU to Hotel

- Head northeast on Airport Blvd / Terminal Blvd towards I-40E toward Raleigh
- Keep left to continue on Airport Blvd towards I-40E toward Raleigh
- Turn right to merge onto I-40E toward Raleigh
- Merge onto I-40E (7.8 miles)
- Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 289 for Wade Avenue toward I-440/US-1 N (4.6 miles)
- Continue onto Wade Avenue (2.2 miles)
- Keep left to continue on Wade Avenue (3.1 miles)
- Turn right onto Brooks Ave (1.3 miles)
- Turn left onto Clark Avenue (0.7 miles)
- Turn right onto Oberlin Road (0.6 miles)
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Pullen Road (341 feet)
- At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Hillsborough Street (0.2 miles)
- Hotel will be on the right
Parking
If you need parking at NC State you can find all the necessary information at this link.
For parking, there aren't any free options unfortunately, but there is the Reynold's Coliseum Parking Deck on campus that you can pay to park ($2 for the first hour, $1/hour after up to $10 for the whole day). Please note, if you use the Reynold's Coliseum Deck, you will need to enter on the ground level off of Cates Avenue, as that is where the pay machine and pay per hour spots are located.
